GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Grand Rapids police are investigating after a woman was shot on the city’s Southeast Side early Sunday morning.
Officials said the victim showed up at a local hospital Sunday, Aug. 27, and reported she was shot near Eastern Avenue SE and Thomas Street SE. Police responded to the scene at about 5:10 a.m.
The victim, who sustained several gunshot wounds to her legs, initially was listed in critical condition but later was upgraded to stable condition, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.
As of Sunday afternoon, the police did not have any information regarding suspects in the case. No additional details were available surrounding the incident.
