ANN ARBOR, MI - One result of the prolonged graduate instructor strike is the University of Michigan exploring the creation on an unarmed, non-police response force.

UM President Santa Ono agreed to make a statement in support of an “unarmed, non-police emergency response program available to members of the (university) community,” according to spokesman Rick Fitzgerald.
