CONCORD, MI – Ken’s M60 Grill is a typical country restaurant that serves classic breakfast and lunch favorites.

Ken Foster took ownership of the Concord restaurant around six years ago and put his name in front of M60 Grill. While the restaurant has been around since 1952, he said he’s put his own flair into the menu.

“This is good, comfort food that we sell,” Foster said. “I’d put my breakfast up against anybody within 100 miles of me.”

Foster’s favorite dish on the menu is the Smoked Pork Chop. The meal comes with a well-flavored smoked pork chop, potatoes, eggs and toast.

“Besides delicious, it’s just got such a smoky flavor to it,” Foster said. “You don’t even need to add salt or pepper or sauce to it.”

The Stuffed French Toast also is a big seller on the weekends. It comes with cream cheese butter icing and is topped with a load of strawberries and whipped cream. A half order is enough to feed one person, Foster said.

The Ma’s Raspberry French Toast is popular as well, and is made with a sweet batter mix and then drizzled with raspberry sauce. Customers are drawn to this because of the presentation, Foster said.

People also enjoy the burgers, the fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy and omelets, he said.

Aside from the food, Foster said he loves talking to his favorite regulars and making the restaurant a welcoming place. He also loves putting up unique signs that make people smile or laugh whenever he finds them.

Some read “Will trade coffee for gossip” and “Just give me the coffee and no one gets hurt.”

Ken’s M60 Grill, 13350 Spring Arbor Road, is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day, except Wednesday when it is closed.
