JACKSON, MI – A hoagie is a meal that can fit everyone’s likes, Justin Tobin said, and he’s sharing his love of the sandwich through his food truck Rollin’ Hoagies.

Rollin’ Hoagies began as a hobby in 2022 after Tobin and his wife Jessica took over a “friend of a friend’s” food truck. Since then, they’ve been rolling around Jackson and surrounding communities cooking up their hoagies.

“We came to an agreement and then we decided, ‘Let’s do what we love, let’s make some hoagies,’” Tobin said.

Rollin’ Hoagie’s offers a diverse menu of hoagies, but he most popular is the OG Hoagie, Tobin said, which comes with prime rib, mushrooms, onions and is smothered in cheese.

“It’s hearty, it’s flavorful,” Tobin said. “I don’t know, we just do it right. It’s the one that calls to most people.”

If that hoagie doesn’t catch your eye, then maybe the Hawaiian Hoagie will, he said. It is filled with grilled chicken, lettuce tomato and pineapple slaw all smothered in marinade.

Others, such as the buffalo chicken, the meatball and the ham and cheese hoagies, are also offered. Sides on the menu include fries, cheese curds and onion rings.

Rollin’ Hoagies takes pride in getting its food out quickly, while not skimping on the product, Tobin said, adding it’s also been great to join the food truck community.

“I can’t speak highly enough about our staff,” Tobin said. “Friendly faces, smiling and happy. This is a fun job.”

Locations, schedules and updates on where to find the Rollin’ Hoagies food truck are posted on its Facebook page each week.
