Caesars Sportsbook
The Caesars Sportsbook gets its name from the renowned Caesars Palace in Las Vegas—the home of many boxing legends like Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, and “Sugar” Ray Leonard, and many others. The sportsbook is a fine option for boxing betting, but the sport doesn’t get nearly the same attention as other markets.
We expect sportsbooks not to put as much time and effort into making the boxing betting experience as extensive as the NFL. However, DraftKings and FanDuel both do a great job of providing creativity for betting on fights. Unfortunately, the experience doesn’t feel the same with Caesars—still a good choice—but not the best.
BetMGM Sportsbook
BetMGM is the official betting partner of DAZN, which grants them the ability to live stream many of the biggest and baddest fights. That is a big leg up for BetMGM in terms of boxing betting, but we were very unimpressed with the odds that they offer. We found that BetMGM almost always had less favorable odds than the other heavyweights in the industry.
At the end of the day, we do enjoy placing sports bets with BetMGM Michigan Sportsbook. However, they’re less-than-ideal odds hold them back in a major way.

Likely the most underrated sportsbook on the market, BetRivers Michigan Sportsbook is a worthy option for betting on boxing. BetRivers provides most, if not all of the same key features as the top names in the industry—and their boxing section is splendid.
Upcoming fights are posted early and not just the moneyline, but bet types like Method of Victory and Round Betting as well. This is a bit surprising, but BetRivers will post over 50 different bet types for marquee boxing fights like Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia.

There isn’t just a winner and a loser according to score. In boxing, there is usually a winner and loser, but there’s more to it than that.
The difference between a knockout (KO) and a technical knockout (TKO) is that a TKO is declared when a fighter is conscious but unable to continue, while a KO occurs when a fighter is unconscious and cannot continue to fight because of it. A TKO can also be ruled due to an injury.
Additionally, scoring in boxing might look foreign to you if you haven’t seen it before. Judges score each round individually on a 10-point scale. Most rounds are scored 10-9, with the winning fighter receiving 10 points and the loser 9.
Boxing betting key terms
- Moneyline: The moneyline is actually exactly the same in boxing betting as it is with more popular leagues like the NBA. All you need to do is pick who you believe will win the fight.
- Method of victory: This bet type is specific to boxing and MMA. To make this bet, you need to select exactly how your fighter will win. For example, by KO/TKO, Submission, or by judge’s decision. These bets have larger odds, meaning bigger winnings!
