1. Slurping Turtle

Slurp up some ramen or stuff your face with some sushi at Slurping Turtle in Ann Arbor.

The restaurant at 608 E. Liberty St. has been bringing its twist to traditional Japanese ramen and sushi dishes to Ann Arbor since 2014, according to its website.

Customers will be able to explore menu items like bao, stir fry, poke bowls, nigiri and sushi rolls and ramen along with some sweet dishes like mochi ice cream and cream puffs.

2. Bao Space

Those looking for authentic bao in Ann Arbor may not need to look any further.

Bao Space prides itself crafting authentic, traditional and handmade bao buns packed with a variety of fillings such as pork, chicken or vegetables. The restaurant has been operating at 205 N. Main St. since December 2022.

Customers can find bao buns packed with flavors like beef and onion, chicken and mushroom, pickled cabbage and pork as well as some veggie options. The restaurant also offers soup, home-style dumplings, dim sum, a variety of appetizers and bubble tea.

Bao Space is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

If you have a hankering for some Chinese food, TK Wu might have just what you need.

The Chinese restaurant in Ann Arbor offers a wide range of options for customers to choose from whether they’re searching for some classics like sweet and sour chicken or want to try something new like roasted duck.

The restaurant’s hours are 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

4. Miss Kim

Miss Kim has been bringing its Korean dishes to Ann Arbor since 2016.

The restaurant’s chef Ji Hye Kim grew up in Seoul, South Korea and brings menu options rooted in Korean tradition while working with local farmers, according to the restaurant’s website. Customers can find meals like classic Bibimbob, Korean fried chicken, Korean fried tofu and Banh Mi

Miss Kim is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Evergreen Restaurant is another option to check out if you’re on the hunt for Asian cuisine in Ann Arbor.

The restaurant is known for specializing in Northern Chinese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghai and Taiwan styles of cooking, according to its website.

Customers can find Evergreen at two locations in Ann Arbor with its flagship restaurant at 2771 Plymouth Road and its downtown spot at 208 W. Liberty St.

Evergreen’s downtown location is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday.

As for the Plymouth Road location, the business is open 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
