ANN ARBOR, MI -- Although Ann Arbor is home to plenty of fine dining, a keen eye can find deal-seekers delicious cheap eats.

Jerusalem Garden

Jerusalem Garden, 314 E. Liberty St., is a popular Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor, and most of its menu clocks in below $10, aside from a series of meals with sides, which ranges from $11 to $20.

All of Jerusalem Garden’s sandwiches are $9.25 or less. Options include the chicken shawarma sandwich for $8.25, a falafel and hummus sandwich for $8 and the Jerusalem Burger for $9.

Krazy Jim’s Blimpy Burger

No cheap eats list would be complete without iconic Ann Arbor burger joint, Krazy Jim’s Blimpy Burger. Even Blimpy’s largest burger — a quintuple patty with cheese, totaling a half-pound of meat — is just $8.19. A double burger is $3.14 and adding cheese brings it up to a whopping $3.62.

Add condiments, extra meat or vegetables for between $0.26 and $1.25.

KouZina Greek Street Food

While most of KouZina’s menu falls under $15, two dishes dip under the $10 mark. The KouZina Greek Gryo costs just $9.95, while the children’s version of the meal costs $8.

The gyro comes with a choice of chicken, pork, lamb, falafel or vegetables and includes toppings like red onion, tomatoes and spinach.

Dimo’s Deli & Donuts may be known for its doughnuts, but sandwiches are also on the cheap eats menu.

A turkey breast sandwich with Monterey jack, horseradish and mustard, alongside chips and a dill pickle, is just $9.95. An egg salad sandwich is $8.95 and a grilled cheese is $7.95.

Bomber Restaurant

The Bomber Restaurant is known for its large breakfast and lunch portions, serving up a full stack of buttermilk pancakes for $8.50, a Greek omelet for $9.25 and a country skillet for $9.50.

And while it may not fall under $10, even the Bomber Restaurant’s famous Bomber Breakfast — featuring four eggs, breakfast potatoes, toast and a choice of meat — is available for $12.75.
