Seafood lovers looking for an upscale option can check out Ann Arbor’s Gandy Dancer.

The restaurant offers lunch and dinner options, including oysters, shrimp cocktail, escargot, crab, scallops, lobster, mahi-mahi, salmon and filet mignon, as well as an extensive wine and cocktail menu.

Gandy Dancer, 401 Depot St. is open 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday and noon to 9 p.m. Saturday. Happy hour is 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Vinology brings chic to downtown Ann Arbor with brunch, dinner and, of course, wine.

The restaurant is known for offering “creative wine-friendly world cuisine with a wine list intriguing for the novice to the connoisseur,” according to its website.

The menu features a Belgium caramel waffle, blueberry pancakes, brioche French toast, omelets, avocado burritos and chicken and waffle sandwiches for brunch. Dinner options include blue crab risotto cake, salmon, lamb chops, ribeye steak, pork chops and braised boneless beef short rib.

Vinology, 110 S. Main St., is open 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for brunch and 4 to 11 p.m. for dinner on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Earle

Enjoy a glass of wine and explore The Earle’s extensive menu, mixed with both Italian and French cuisine.

The Earle opened in 1977 as a jazz club that sold sandwiches, soups and omelets. In 1979, it transformed into fine-dining experience it is today. Customers can try bruschetta, eggplant parmesan, lamb chops, calamari, duck breasts and beef tenderloin.

The restaurant also features an vast wine list, with more than 1,200 selections and live jazz performances five nights a week.

The Earle Restaurant, 121 W. Washington St., is open 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 5 to 9:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The Chop House

Customers should prepare to be pampered with “the ultimate prime dining experience” at The Chop House, according to the restaurant’s website.

The Chop House’s menu is packed with selections for soups, salads, seafood, as well as both classic and specialty prime steaks. Options include lobster tail, lamb chops, filet mignon, Wagyu ribeye steak, Beef Wellington and scallops.

The restaurant also has elegant desserts, including Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, Amaretto Crème Brûlée, Affogato, mudslide cheesecake and caramel apple pie.

The Chop House, 322 S. Main St., is open 5 to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday and 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Taste Kitchen

Taste Kitchen provides dishes that combine French culinary techniques with Vietnamese flavors.

The chef-owned Ann Arbor restaurant prides itself on its small menu that uses fresh and local ingredients. Owner and chef Danny Van selects menu items based on which ingredients are in season and the freshness of the products.

As of May 20, customers can find beef tartare, mussels, risotto, calamari, crab cakes, duck tacos, lamb rack, scallops and filet mignon, along desserts like lemon tart and coffee Crème Bruleé.
